2010 Events

BBQ and Picnic 2010: August 28th, 2010

Our annual BBQ and Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 28th  from 10:30 until 2:00 at the pool. We will have swimming, a water slide and free food for our families. We are asking each child to bring in a new, unwrapped toy (around $8.00- $10.00) to the BBQ.  *This will help to offset the cost of our holiday party in December.

We would like to continue to provide events free of charge for all of our families.  Your help and support is always greatly appreciated!

P.S. - An Evite will be emailed out.  You MUST RSVP, we need a firm head-count so we can provide enough food!

6TH Annual Golfing Fore Autism Charity Tournament: June 12, 2010

Its time to mark your calendars for the 6th annual "Golfing Fore Autism" Charity Tournament.  This year's event will be Saturday, June 12th at the Orange Lake Resort on 192 in Kissimmee.  We will have all the same goodies; free beer, cigars, lunch, and many prizes!  We will have the "super ticket" available which will include raffle tickets, mulligan's, free drink tickets at our bar on the course and more!  There will be  an auction, as well as raffle tickets available, at the luncheon.  Please join us for our biggest fundraiser for the Autism Gym! 

Please help us spread the word about our golf tournament!  I have attached the event flyer to this e-mail.  Please feel free to distribute this information to all your friends and co-workers.  We hope that you will put a team together and come out and support us!    If you own a business or work for one, please consider asking them to become a sponsor. Sponsor information is listed on our golf flyer.

Prom/Dance for the Kids: April 24, 2010

We will be hosting our first annual Prom/Dance for our kids on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the gym from 7-10 PM.  The kids will get their pictures taken, DJ,Dancing, food and fun for all.  Please RSVP by April17th. 
This is a first for us.  If you have any ideas, or want to help, please contact Lauri Roumeliotis at Laurinricco@aol.com, or JoAnne at  autismgym@aol.com  We will need volunteers for this event!

SMOOCH-2009: Feb 2010

The 2nd annual Smooch project was held on February  21st at the Rosen Shingle Creek Spa.  Thanks to Ashley Shelton for a wonderful spa day for the "Special Moms of Outstanding Children with Handicaps The ten top sellers of the Autism & Related Disabilities Gym Program chocolate fundraiser were selected to go. They went by limo to the spa, where they each received a complimentary facial, massage, pedicure and manicure.  From there, they went to Bonefish Grill for dinner.  They all received a goody bag full gifts.

"Special Night for Special Parents Dinner"

This was our annual "Special Night for Special Parents Dinner" that the Winter Garden Elks Lodge #2165 sponsors for the parents of the Autism & Related Disabilities Gym Program at Jim Beech. It is a free dinner with entertainment, food, support, and prizes! Enclosed are some of the pictures from that special night.

Autismgym Gym and Dillard Elementary

This past December 4th the autism classes of Jamie Tice, Melissa Breaud, and Ralph Festa partnered with the Autism Gym.  The children painted pictures for the Autism Gym's upcoming Golfing Fore Autism 5th annual charity tournement. The pictures will be auctioned to raise money for the program.
